Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello!
I guess after the long weekend, Im catching up on my crafting...lol this is my second challenge today...whoooo hooo..
I am having so much fun.
Since Im pretty new to card making, all my cartridges are new to me so I picked the Paisley cartridge for my card.

Whimsical Wednesday Tag it Challenge

Hello and good day
I just had a really nice long weekend with the family, ate plenty of BBQ and went to a concert.
Luckily the weather held out nicely because the concert was outside.
I received two new Cartridges this weekend, I got Nursery Tails for my Cricut Imagine machine that I don't have yet...but hope to get soon...LOL
I also received The Best of Pixar this weekend, so I decided to use that one for the Challenge.
I am also going to attach that tag to a present for my little cousin Dejua, she is 6 years old and she is a very strong sweet little girl.
Dejua has been battling HLH (Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis)
  for the past year or so and is in the hospital right now.
I bought Dejua a butterfly in a jar from Walmart....it looks like a real butterfly fluttering around in a mason jar...its super cute!

This card I made for my Cousin Ericka, she sent me the cuttiest little key chain with charms hanging on them and her key chain had little cherries and strawberries hanging on it....Ericka said that  if we were fruit...the strawberries were her and the cherries were me...lol....so I made this card for her.

Catch up

Hello and good day!

My blogging issues are all cleared up and Im back in business, I was down one very frustrating day but it gave me time to catch up on my graduation cards and get them all mailed out.
I also started a set of cards for my aunties a while back with the Florals embellished cartridge and I have four Aunties so I needed to cath up on those as well and get them all finished.
Florals Embellished is my go-to cartridge when I want something girl and pretty.....I LOVE the layers.
I was really proud of myself because I laid out all the paper for two cards on my cutting board at one time and I only had to re-cut one piece...Take a look

Blogging problems today

Not able to post comments on anyones blogs and keeps prompting me to sign in...No over the phone help from Google....UUrgggg.!!!! sorry guys frustrating.

Everyday Paper Dolls

Hello again!
Two post in one day! whoo hoo.
I made a card for a friend of mine her name is Janelle and she is currently in Air Force boot camp.
She is one of the most girly girls I know ( besides myself) so the uniform I made for my card has been embellished a bit ..lol

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge # 7

Here is my card not using the Cricut, which was very hard since Ive only used the cricut for everything...lol
I still wanted to play along.

I used a bunch of scrap paper I had left over and ribbon I got out of the 1.00 bucket at Micheals.

Preserves Practice Card

Hello and good day!
Actually its night right now...lol
I had alot of fun today playing with some of my new craft tools and supplies and I ended up making a card....its just ok but I had fun using some new stuff I have.
I used Tim Holtz Distressed ink for the first time....I love this stuff.
I also used Glossy accents for the first time....I didnt really see a huge difference but I think I have to try it again on a bigger project.
I think this will be a cool embellishment.

I also used my new IRock tool....this I LOVE because I am a BLING Bling girl....lol

Queen Bee

Hello and Good Day!
Every Day is a good day and especially when I get something new! Christmas for meeee..lol
Today I got  Kates ABC's Cricut Cartridge...its sooooo cute.
All the Cartridges are on sale at Joann Fabrics right now, reg price cartridges 89.00 on sale for 29.00
so the other cartrdige I picked up was Preserves ( cause you know I cant just have one)
The selection is mostly old cartridges but I am just starting to build my cartridge libarary.
I didnt think I would have time to play becuase I play on a Adult co-ed Kickball team and we had a game today the ended up getting cancelled because of the rain, so here is my first card I made using Kates ABC's
OMGSH...one other thing about Joann Fabrics....they have a section for 1.00 items and I got a ton of embellishments......score!
I really love Pink and yellow together....they are my favorite colors.

Peachy Keen Challenge #52

Hello and Good day!

Well me and my little buddy Chanel have been hanging out at the house for most part of the day.
The weather is still really ugly so we have not been able to play in the back yard today.
I love sitting out in my backyard and enjoying the weather, I  usually bring my laptop or my gypsy outside with me to play with... while Chanel runs around.
I REALLY love it when my Husband decides to BBQ....makes the backyard smell like summer but since the weather is not so pretty, we have been inside all day ( Oh but I did go to the gym this morning)
Ive  been trying to finish my graduation cards that I have to mail out soon but of course I got a little sidetracked with another challenge...lol
As Im hopping around to different blogs...I found the Peachy Keen challenge blog.
I actually have a few of the stamp sets from Peachy Keen, I had seen them used on  My Pink Stamper Website and thought they were super cute and since buying them I actually use them quite alot.
I consider myself a beginner and I think ALL beginners need to have these stamp sets....for sure.
Its really hard to decide what to buy when your first starting out....(what cartridges give you the most bang for your buck...what paper , which embellishments...ect, ect...of course I want everything all at once...lol
(what can I say???I am a girl)
I would definitly say the critter face set from Peachy Keen and paper doll face sets are a must have.
 I made a card today based off the Cow Jumped over the Moon...but I thought instead of the cow doing all that work...why not just hang out with the moon and watch the stars together....lol

Paper Cutz Challenge # 91 (Graduation Card)

Hello and good day!

I cant believe this weather!....last week I was sunning in my back yard and today feels like winter again...lol
I was busy for most part of the day with my Scentsy business but of course I still found a little time to check out some crafting blogs.( I have soooooo much fun doing this)
Even though Ive had my cricut for a couple of years, Ive only recently been able to enjoy it and actually spend alot of time crafting and learning with it and my Gypsy.
Im really new to blogging and networking and I'm finding that the crafing community is absolutly FUN and filled with some of the most sweetest people.
The more involved I get....the more encouragment and inspiration I recieve.....I am totally hooked!..LOL
I have 4 young adults in my family that will be graduating soon so I decided to start making my graduation cards and I entered another challenge.

Florals Embellished

Hello and Gooday!

Today is kinda cold Sunday Morning and I will be home alone for most part of the day....so you know what that means........Craft time!!!!
I actually made a couple cards last night but didnt get a chance to post them so I will start with those..
I bought some ribbon at Micheals that I just fell in love with....I think Im going back today to see if I can find more....it was just in the .99 cent bucket right by the registers...anyway I made two cards last night using the same ribbon.
I am not like some of the other ladies I see who design as they go.....I first have to think about what cartridge or image I want to use....then the fun part begins......I may be crazy but picking out the paper and co-ordinating paper Im going to use is kinda like shopping to me...lol
I actually love shopping and matching up outfits, colors, textures and shoes is a passion of mine and when I start picking out the paper patterns Im going to use is a similar feeling to me.....I know....crazy huh?
So the cards I made last night, I used Florals Embellished cartridge and Cindy Loo cartridge, I used My Pink Stamper stamps (you know I love those) and Recollections paper, I think this paper is great for beginners because it makes it very easy to co-ordinate colors for a project.
Please tell me what you think.

So....we will see what I can create to day!

Best Friends

Hello and good day... I finally was able to make my first card on my new Cricut Expression 2.
I had to find out a few things the hard way...I knew the C2 would be able to use the imagine cartridges and cut layers but I guess I was thinking that it would give me the layer option with the regular cricut cartridges also....my error LOL
I also found out that you cannot put the Imagine Cartridge images anywhere on the mat (I think I had already heard this) but I thought if I used my gypsy with the imagine cartridges...I could place images on the mat where I choose....also my error...LOL
Anyway...I hope some of these issues will be corrected in the future sometime.
I am still VERY happy with my new purchase and actually since I recently bought a couple imagine cartridges to try on the C2.....I now want the Cricut Imagine machine..teehee....my poor husband thinks Im going scrappin crazy...lol and he is right! Ive just been having so much fun.
I also LOVE checking out the other scrappbookin and card making blogs, there is soooo much creativity out there, its really inspiring!
Well I contune to practice my craft and here is a look at my first card made on my C2.
I used Cricut Imagine cartridge best Friends and stamps from My Pink Stamper....her stamps are sooo cute, and good quality,sometimes I get ideas just from the saying on her stamps.

Hello and Good day...Today has been a very busy day for me....I am a consultant for Scentsy Wickless candles and I will be setting up a table in my gym tomorrow, so I spent the whole day getting prepared and making little goodie bags and samples that I can give out.
I still had a little time to play in my craftroom and I wanted to post my card I made.
I think this is one of my best cards so far...I am still working on co ordinating colors but this one came out great....let me know what you think...

Mothers Day

Hello and Happy Mothers Day!
I am having a beautiful day with my family and extened family today.
I was not sure if I would get a little time to play in my craftroom today and fortunatly I did, so I decided to try my hand at making a mothers day card.
My mother passed away a long time ago but I still have important and wonderful mothers in my life and made a card with all of them in mind.
I am pretty new to card making but I have soooo much fun trying, Im sure I will get better with time.
I made my card on my original Cricut because I have not mastered my C2 yet and I used the Cricut Walk in my Garden cartridge.
OH one other thing.....I have decided not to frustrate myself any longer trying to make this blog site look cute
I took advice from Kim at My Crafting Creations and filled out a form to have my blog site worked on by Shabby Vanity!!!! I am really really excited about that....she does great work!
I cant wait..

Cricut Expression 2 came today

Hello Kim! thank you for the compliment, I do Love my cards but Im just getting started and everybody has such great ideas.
I was away all day today so I didnt get a chance to play in my craftroom today BUT when I got home ...my Cricut 2 had been delivered...I am so excited.
I know that I can use all my cricut cartrdges and I can also use the imagine cartridges on this machine ( for images only) not for printing color and pattern.
I cant wait to play with this new machine, Ive been trying to find out when the Baby Boutique Imagine cartridge will be availabe to purchase....the images are soooo cute.
I already have a spot ready for my C2 as you can see in pictures...I am keeping my original cricut....now Im double trouble.

Cant wait to show my first projects on the C2...wish me luck.

Best Cricut Cartridge

Hello....I am so excited today...2 reasons, First I just saw that my Cricut 2 has finally shipped from HSN so that is on its way.
The other reason Im so excited today is I recived 2 cartridges in the mail today!
Its just like Christmas when I open a new cartridge and go through the images in the booklet.
Now please remeber I am new to scrapbooking and card making so Im sure that everyone has these cartridges but to me they are NEW...today I got Pagoda and Wall decore and more and as soon as I sart looking at the booklets...all kinds of project ideas start soming to my head I cant wait.
I got to tell you I think Wall decore and more has to be one of the best Cricut cartidges...I love it!
I also think Create a Critter is one of the best so far, I cant put that cartridge away.
Hello Kitty is another one of my favorites....I wish there was a list that I could use to tell me which cartridges to buy first.

Well You know I am still layed off so I made little hello cards to take to all my friends that are still working at my last company....I will post that project ....it was very easy and took me about 30min to make 15 cards....I used the Wild Card cartridge to make them.

My first projects

My husband works in the construction field, so one of my first cards was for him.
Since being layed off, I have purchased a Gypsy...which I LOVE..even though I am still learning everything its does....the internet is a wonderful thing sometimes.

I have also ordered the new Cricut Expressions 2 from HSN....hopefully I get it soon...it seems HSN is having problems delivering on products they have sold.....anyway here are a few of my first projects.

I Love my Craft room

Hello all!
I apologize in advance if I do something wrong, I am very new to all of this.
I was recently layed off like alot of people and I have been spening almost everyday in my craftroom playing with my Cricut. I am hooked!
Ive had my Cricut for a couple of years but didnt really have the time to learn how to use it, all that has changed...Ive been on the internet everyday learning new tips and tricks.
I checkout MPS everyday and Creative Time, I will post some of my first projects....all advise is appriciated.
