Hello fellow crafters..
I really miss playing in my craft room and participating in challenges but more than that I really miss looking at all the creative cards you all come up with..
I spent a good part of my Sunday today blog surfing and the day went by so fast....lol
I have been really busy working a lot of OT at my new job and also I have finally gotten myself back in the gym but it leaves a small window for my crafting......but I will get better.
This past week I have been searching for a way to get rif of the stray cats in my area.....they have never really been a problem until recently....usually they poop in the yard and every now and then....they get into the trash but this last week they have decided to rip up all the seat cushions on my pation furniture so now they have to go.... I have been looking for an organization that will come capture them for me,,,,,if you all have any ideas....let me know....so for now I am not able to sit and enjoy my backyard....cant afford to replace the cushions yet....lol
So even though it was a pretty day today I stayed inside and worked on a card...

it was kinda hard for me and I think I will try this one again soon. but here you go....

Charlie's Angels from Greeting Farm

Hello fellow crafters,
What a nice long weekend...hopefully you all had some good BBQ because I did....lol
My new job is super busy and my team has been working alot of OT but I did not go in this weekend and now Im glad I didnt....I had a great weekend and today I played in my craft room all day.
I worked on two cards but I finished one.
This card is for Dejua, my little niece has been in the hospital with HLH for a while now.
I get her little gifts every week....but this week I made her this card....
The images are from Greeting Farm.

I really have a hard time finding different paper, I only have micheals and Joann fabrics in my area and they seem to have the same paper all the time, so last week... on my way home from work I found a new craft store and bought this paper stack by GCD Studios called Spring in Bloom....my husband said it was too busy but I like it and I think Dejua will too.

I miss Everyone

Hello fellow crafter,
Today is one of the first days that I came home from my new job and didn't shower and fall asleep instantly...lol
I hope that I am finally adjusting to working again.
I have also been working alot of over time so I haven't had time to color or even go to the gym but I am working on getting both back in my routine.
Chanel has recovered perfectly from her little grooming accident and she is running and jumping all over the house again.
I really miss following all the blogs and soaking up the fun and inspiration....I really feel like I'm missing out on all the new stamp releases...I am also working on getting a tablet so I can jump online on my lunch time...lol
anyway I will figure it out cause I miss my card making:)

Scrapbook Expo 2011

Hello fellow crafters,
Yesterday I went to my first scrapbook convention and it was FANTASTIC! of course I have nothing to compare it to but I thought it was great...there were so many vendors with different paper crafting things and ideas....of course I spent all my money within the first 40 minutes of being there...I couldn't help it.
There were tons of DP and embellishing flowers and to top it off....there was a booth selling Copic markers for 3.99!!!!!!!
I bought as many as I could afford...lol
Unfortunately I didn't sign up for the workshops so I think I missed out on the best part but next year...I know what to expect and I plan of signing up early.
So today was going to be my day to play but I didn't get a chance to because Chanel was getting groomed this morning and the groomer accidentally cut a piece of her ear, so we spent a good part of the day at the Vet.
I do have one card to post this week, its an image from MDP for the easel challenge.

Back to work for me

Hello fellow crafters....
what a week so far! I got a phone call last Friday from a Mortgage company I really wanted to work for and they wanted to to start Monday...can you believe that! as much as I wanted to get back to work...I thought I would have time to get myself ready...lol
I have been sleeping in for the past 6 months and playing in my craft room or going to the gym....basically just doing whatever I want....NO MORE...lol
Anyway....I am trying to adjust quickly, today is the first day I didnt come home, shower and stare at the TV.
So I am sorry If I am not able to follow everyone as much as I have been but I promise to to keep following.
I have a card to post that I made this weekend for my husbands boss....his wife is having a baby boy soon.
I also made a little box to put the card in.
The image is from Digital Pencil....I love this  little sleeping angel...
 I found a tutorial on how to make the box on Paper Crafting in Cocoa...Iris is very talented and there are lots of beautiful projects on her blog

Second gel card attempt

Hello again,
I had to try another gel card, as fun as the first one was...I was not happy submitting it for the Tiddly Inks Challenge....and I learned alot from my first card.
I think I did better this time.
I cut out my snow globe with my cricut (I think it was doodle bug cartridge)...not sure because I used my Gypsy.
I inked my snow globe with Tim Holtz distressed inks.
I used a smaller plastic baggie and much much less hair gel.
I put Martha Stewart fine glitter in the gel and stamped a sea horse under the gel ( on the first layer of my card.....so hopefully  he looks like he is swimming happily under the sea....lol
I used a Sugar Plum stamp image for my mermaid...and this is what I got.

My firts Gel Card

Hello fellow crafters
Its a very pretty Saturday morning and Ive decided to post the card I made 2 days ago....lol
I'm going to give you warning.....its a hot mess....but its my first gel card and i spent two days on this card so I'm posting it...lol
Anyway there is a challenge at Tiddly Inks for a gel card and I had no clue what a gel card was....so I checked out YouTube and watched a few videos then I was off to the dollar store to buy some hair gel...
This card came out horrible but I did have fun making it and I think I learned how to make it better for the next attempt....
Next time I will cut the window smaller and I will use less gel.teehee
Since I used a regular snack sandwich baggie, when I folded the bag to fit in my card....gel spilled all over the place....lol what a mess but here is my finished card.

Tickled Pink Feather Challenge

Hello fellow crafters, I have a card I wanted to post for the TP Challenge # 31
The challenge was to use feathers.
I happen to have these  yellow and orange feathers ......and I dont remeber why I bought these colors....I think I just liked the colors and they were cheap....anyway I had to make my card to match the feathers...
I dont think I would have chosen these colors for this image but it ended up working out.

Cute Card Thursday

This was my second challenge today because I had to make this card without using designer paper....WHAT???? that was so hard for me....
All I have in my small bit of stash is paper....lol
so this is what I came up with.
I hope you can see the glossy accents I put on her wet slippery body and tail......lol

My first Easel Card

Hello fellow crafters...
What a day I have had working on this project....It has been a card I have been putting off because I didn't quite know how to make it......I'm not even sure if I did it right.....but this is MY version right?
I colored one of the images 3 times today before I was kinda happy with it....lol
I also used Copic colors that I don't use too often....I don't even wear this color much....guess I'm not really a fan of brown.....that's funny coming from a brown person huh?....lol
Well I used Images from All that scraps and I used Prima...got Flowers...also this is my first time really using liquid pearls.....if you look close....you can tell.
WAIT....first I have to show you a picture of what Chanel does when I'm in my craft room.....she is soooo cute....she makes me laugh every day....currently she is curled up in my lap while I'm typing.

Mo's Digital Pencil Umbrella image

Hello fellow crafters...this past week was a very busy one for me, with my family visiting....Its going to take me a couple of days to get my house back in order but it was well worth it!
So I have missed out on a couple of challenges but will try to make up for it this week. I just ordered 24 new Copic markers that I cant wait to get....that is always fun.
I saw that Joann fabrics has a really good sale going on.....anyone living in the Antioch area....our Joann Fabrics has Spellbinders  in store now!!!!! wooo hooo!!!! and a very good selection and 40% off!
Also I found a WONDERFUL crafting store in Brentwood called  Art Inspired Studios and this lady carries everything Micheals dosent....she has a large selection of Teresa Collins line, Tim Holtz and a TON of beautiful cardmaking/scrapbooking items......
So I did a little window shopping today to get out of the house but I did manage to make one card this evening.

The challenge was to color an image with dark skin...
I used one of my favorites images from MDP...( I know I say that about all the images)

You wouldn't believe but its a little after midnight and I have been blog surfing....lol Well some of you WOULD believe because you do it also...
I have family visiting right now so I have not had much time to check out everyones creations.
Since I still say that I am pretty new to paper crafting and blogging....I do not really have a system yet.
I started following a ton of blogs to learn as much as I can, now I need a day...just to go through the blogs I'm following ...I absolutely Love looking at eveyones projects and I get so much information and inspiration from you all....so now was the only time could could do it....this week..lol

Tiddly Inks Challenge # 58 Nature Movie

Hello and good Friday!
I am currently layed off but for some reason I am still very happy its Friday....probably because everyone will be at home for the next two days....like me....
It looks like we are going to the movies tonight to see the new Captain America movie...hopefully its good.
I wanted to participate it the Tiddly Inks Challenge ....I love their images...the challenge was to have a nature movie theme...not to easy because I only have a few digis and I couldn't think of what nature move fit them since most of my images from TI are the steam Victorians...lol
So here is what I came up with....the movie is Clan of the Cave Bear....remember that one? with Daryl Hanna...I know...I know.....I went REALLY far back....lol

Make it colorful challenge# 26

Hello and good day!
I really had fun working on this card...I ve started making my cards bigger 6 x 6 in order to make room for fun embellishments and background...so this is mt first attempt at adding background...lol
I will keep trying.
This image is sooo cute, she is from make it crafty also my candy stand is from MIC.
I am really starting to LOVE my Cricut Imagine...the balloons were sooo easy and already colored and cut, also flourishes very easy on the Imagine machine...
The challenge was to color the hair in a different color...not blond, black, red or my favorite...brown....So I went with orange...this image was really fun to color...I think I will be using her alot.

Digital Pencil challenge

Hello and good day....its so funny because I started working on a card today and got distracted with this Moe Manning image and ended up coloring it in and completed the card for it....
I still have the original card to finish...lol
I saw that here was a black and white challenge on DP2 and wanted to give it a try....I need lots more practice of course but I still wanted to post my card because I just love this image.

Tickled Pink Butterfly Challenge # 28

Ok, this is my 3rd post today..kinda crazy...but I didnt go to the gym today...stayed home and played hooky so I had a little more time on my hands then normal...lol
I worked on my TP challenge card today and I tried a bigger sized card this time....this one is 6 x 6 and I liked the way it came out....think I will try a few at this size.... gotta work on my embellishment stash though..lo

Challenge Card

Hello and good day!
Im working on a few different things, first of all I want to make bigger cards. When I first started trying to make cards I learned from MPS to take 8.5 x 11 inch card stock and cut in half and thats the size of the card.
As I learn more and more about card making, I realize that is not big enough to add details and back ground so I am working on different sized cards now.
This card is 4 x 6 completely by accident...lol but I liked having a bigger base to work with.
The Theme of this card is GONE WITH THE WIND

Fun in the Sun

Hello again....I had to do one more post today....I was so excited about this card I made....
I got the Idea to make my own card stock from a wonderful website called.... http://melissamade2.blogspot.com/
I found Melissa's blog during the stamp release for Tiddly Inks and Make it Crafty....and I have been stocking her blog every since....she has beautiful cards and she makes her own cardstock sometimes....so I decided to try my hand at this.....I love how this turned out!
I started with white cardstock and stamped it all over with a 1.00 stamp I purchased from Joann Fabrics...I used Memento ink....Then I just started coloing in the images with my copics....then I topped it off with some Martha Stewart  fine glitter.....not bad for my first try...
The main image is Moes Digital Pencil called Umbrella....I love her....she is chilling enjoying her cocktail....Im sure I will use this image alot...lol
Oh yeah and I found this website that gives free sentiments HERE and another one HERE...pretty cool.

Hello and good day...
I am playing in my craft room today and I have a couple of things to show you.... I purchased  a Clip it up organizer from Walmart...I think it was 55.00 and only available online in my area....I am using it for my stamp storage....it actually bigger that I thought but I think I'm going to get alot of use out of it.....also there is another piece you can buy an add to the top so you get two racks.
I also made a card today...I thought it was for a challenge but when I was done...I forgot what challenge it was for...lol oh well....still a fun image to color.
This image was 1.oo on Kenny K's website....for a short time only.

Kenny K Anything goes Challenge

Hello and good day!
Yesterday I finished another great blog hop over at Kenny Ks Kraft Girls blog, another great bunch of talented ladies and I really love the Kenny K images...one of my favorites was The Big O....too cute and of course I have already purchased that Digi.
Well I had to make a card to go along with the blog hop so I picked one of my other favorite Kenny K Stamps...this one is called bling baby.
This is the first time I tried picking my CS first then coloring my image to match the paper I had chose.
I think this may be a better way to start a project...in the past I would color my image first....then scramble to find CS on hand that matched...anyway here is what I created.

Big Stamp Release coming

Tomorrow should be real fun! new stamp release happening as a joint venture, Tiddly Inks and Make it Crafty have a joint stamp release tomorrow.
I love The Tiddly Inks stamps and cant wait to see what they come up with.
I usually love anything in the steam Victorian area....and the sneak peaks are sooo interesting....gonna be big fun!

Since I have started papercrafting I have been on my computer alot more than usual....I have so much fun looking at everyones creations..there are so many talened crafters out there sometimes I spend a good part of my day hopping from one blog to another.
Currently some of my favorites websites are hosting blog hops....Kenny K Krafty girls has one...and boy are there some talened ladies there.
Tickled Pink is currently hosting a blog hops and WOW I love everything I saw...The Pink ladies are definitly talened.
I have managed to squeeze in two cards of my own in the last two days...One card I used a Digi image from Moes Digital Pencil and the other image was free from Devinart....can you beleive that....The artist is wonderful and he draws alot of anime....its harder to color for me but the images are so pretty...I wanted to try.

I was trying to participate in the Whimsical Wednesday blog hop yesterday and was having a hard time posting comments to come of the blogs.....it ruined my fun....google kept making me sign in over and over and wouldnt save my comment.......If anyone know anything about this....please help...it was making me crazy....I had to stop and make a card for therapy....lol

Chanel will actually sit in my lap for hours while I blog hop and craft....Ive had to learn how to work with her in my lap.

Tickled Pink Challenge #27

Hello and good day!
I have been working with Madeline from Shabby Vanity on my new blog look today and its going to be sooo cute!
Madeline really does a great job.
If your blog needs a make over...you have to check out Shabby Vanity.
So the card I made today was for the TP, and the challenge was to use a doily.....and that was a REAL challenge for me because I dont have any doilys or dies that look like doilys....dont have much of a stash yet...lol
So I found this cut on the Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge and its the closes I could get to a doily.....Ive got to get some spellbinders soon.
Here is my card using the Tickeld Pink Lil Victorian Steampunk Evie....Ive used this stamp a couple times now...I love it.

Tiddly Inks

Hello again....I have 2 other cards to share today....I found the Tidly Winks website and found some super cute Digi stamps....Here are two of my favorite images....(I know I Know...I say that all the time...lol)

My poor Cricut machines....since I discovered Copics....I havent touched my Cricut....and my Imagine machine came in this week and I barley turned it on.....Im sure I will get back on my machines but for now all I do is hunt for new stamp images.

Sundays with Chrissy Challenge #19

Hello and blessed day!
I colored a couple of images today...I didnt finish making all the cards because I was having such a good time coloring...lol just like being a kid again.
I did finish this card and decided to use it for a challenge.
The challenge was to distress or ink the card... not something Im really used to doing but I did distress the edges on the cardstock and I did ink the edges behind the image.
I LOVE this stamp....its called bling baby ..from Kenny k at Whimsy....she is sooo cute with her Ugg boots......hope you like.

Prince

Hello and good day!
Im just getting back in my craftroom to play after the 4th of July weekend...I went outside my house last night around 9:30pm and it sounded like a war was going on in my city....there were fireworks going off EVERYWHERE....(they are illegal here)
It wsa a little sad for me because it made me think of my dog Prince...he just passed away a few days before.
Prince was my Cocker Spaniel and he was 14 years old...every year we put him in the house on the fouth of July so he could hide by the couch...lol
So I have been feeling sad for my doggie....Chanel is doing her best to pick up my spirits.
I made this card for Prince and thought I would use it for the Throwback Thurday Challenge.

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge # 12 Lets get Patriotic

Hello and good day fellow crafters.
I had such a hard time using the red copic markers for this challenge...I actually colored this image 3 times and when I realized I wasnt getting any better I gave up...LOL ....for now at least.
I only have a couple red markers so the next set of 12 markers I get  ( I buy 12 at a time on ebay for 51.00)
I will try some different shades of red.
No matter what method I tried....the red color bleeds out of the lines...I have not had that problem with any of the other colors...yet....it dosent really matter as long as we have fun....right?
I still like my card as long as you look at it from a distance...lol the challenge was to use a brad or bling or a button...I thought I would try to use all 3 but could only make it work with a button and always...THE BLING!!

Yes my birthday is in April.
I am a shopaholic recently I have switched my shopping expeditions to craft stores..
I go to Joann Fabrics and Micheal's every week.lol
I was a cheerleader 4 years in high school.
My favorite movie is still Jaws and I recite the lines now when I'm watching the movie....also I watch it on the Spanish channel even though I don't speak Spanish.....I know kinda nerdy.
I'm very adventurous, I like indoor skydiving and rock climbing....I love animals  I would love to play with Lions and tigers but I scream the house down if I see a spider.
I absolutely love receiving gifts and clap my hands and get excited like a kid and I receive the exact same feeling when I give gifts.....

Ok, I think this is my last card for today....but I'm not promising...lol
I went to the gym first thing this morning and I have had a day FULL of energy so I think I made 4 cards today...which is perfect because its time for me to mail some cards to my Aunties.
I have 2 Aunties in Texas and 2 in Mississippi and as much as I can see all my mistakes on my cards...they don't....and they love them!

I have been looking around for different stamps and I just found this website Kennykdownloads so I bought a couple of the digi stamps....kinda cool and different so I am entering this card in the Kenny K Krafty Girls Challenge.
I still don't have a lot of copic markers yet so I use the same colors alot but I thought she came out ok.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge # 54

Hello and good day!
Today was a little mini Christmas for me because I received some new Stamps.
I really like the convenience of the Digi stamps ....you pay...you get your stamps but for some reason....I cant figure why.....I just like having the rubber stamps in my hand....lol
I like having my image in my collection....its probably because I am not a computer person so I am always fearful that I will delete the digi images by accident or something.
So today I received a couple Tilda stamps that are soooo cute I couldn't decide which one to use first.
I was able to practise my copic coloring and also cutting the image one your done coloring is not so easy for me.....but I say it all the time.....its fun trying!

My Pink Stamper Birthday Card Challenge

Hello fellow paper crafters!
I have missed playing in my craftroom and blogging but things are starting to slow down so I'm hoping to finish painting my craftroom soon, I seem to have lost a little of my steam...lol
I am really excited to be working with Madeline from Shabby Vanity real soon....maybe I will be able to show my newly painted craftroom and newly designed blog page at the same time!
I have been purchasing my Copic markers 12 at a time....as you know...they are kind of expensive but I have been finding good deals on ebay...for brand new markers.
I must show you my cards I colored today....I need alot more practise but its sooo fun learning.
Suzanne Dean has great tutorials and I have fallen in love with the cute digi images from Moe's digital pencil and LOVE the Greeting Farm Stamps.
